Multiplings is free. Use it with your children as much as you like. It is offered as it is, with no promise about what a child will learn, and Swedish law governs these terms.
These terms are an agreement between you and Daniel Han, an individual developer in Sweden, about the Multiplings mobile app and this website. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not install the app.
Who agrees
The app is made for children, and a child cannot enter an agreement. A parent, carer or teacher accepts these terms on the child's behalf and stays responsible for how the child uses the app.
What you may do
You get a personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use Multiplings on devices you control, at home or in a classroom, for as long as these terms last. The licence costs nothing. There is no purchase, no subscription and no advertising.
What you may not do
- Sell the app, rent it, or charge anyone for access to it.
- Copy, republish or redistribute the app or its artwork, text, sounds or characters as your own.
- Take the app apart, decompile it, or work backwards to its source, except where the law expressly allows it despite this clause.
- Remove or hide any notice of ownership or licensing inside the app.
What belongs to whom
The app, its name, its characters, its artwork, its text and its design belong to Daniel Han. Using the app gives you no ownership of any of it.
Some parts come from other people and keep their own licences. Fredoka and Nunito are used under the SIL Open Font License. The sound effects come from freesound.org and are dedicated to the public domain under CC0, with their authors credited in the source repository. The app is built with Flutter, which is open source under a BSD licence. Nothing in these terms narrows the rights those licences give you in those components.
No promise about learning
Multiplings is a game built on established ways of teaching multiplication. It is not a tutor, not an assessment, and not a substitute for a teacher. No claim is made that any particular child will learn any particular thing, or reach any particular result at school.
Offered as it is
The app is provided as it is and as it happens to be available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose or free of faults. Software has bugs. If you find one, please write and say so.
Nothing here limits rights you hold as a consumer under mandatory law, including Swedish and European consumer law. Where such a right conflicts with a sentence above, your right wins.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Daniel Han is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including lost data or lost time. Liability is not excluded for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Availability and changes
The app may change, and features may be added or removed. It may one day stop being published. Because your child's progress is stored on your device and nowhere else, that progress is yours and stays with the device for as long as the app is installed.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting the new terms.
Governing law
Swedish law governs these terms. Disputes go to the Swedish courts. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the European Union, this does not remove your right to rely on the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, or to bring a claim in your local courts where that law allows.
